Profextru is an international company operating from Hardenberg (former Wavin division). More than 60 years of experience in the development, production and worldwide delivery of large plastic profiles are the basis of the brands.
In close cooperation with customers all over the world, Profextru products are continuously developed further. Profextru is the producer of four brands: Combiboard wall systems, Prolock sheet piling, Profex wall cladding and Excellent Panel hygienic walls. The company employs around fifty people. Profextru has a strong focus on innovation, quality and sustainability.
Based on a philosophy of circularity, the company manufactures products with a long life span. These products can ultimately be reused as raw materials in new production. In addition to circularity, sustainability and social involvement are very important within Profextru.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
PROFEXTRU: Those are within our four brands: Combiboard, Prolock, Profex and Excellent Panel.
Combiboard: wall panel system suitable for creating robust internal and external walls.
Prolock: innovative, sustainable and cost-efficient solution for the protection of banks, dikes and watercourses.
Profex: wall cladding that is suitable for new builds and renovations.
Excellent Panel: hygienic panels for new builds or renovation work of walls and ceilings in a car and truck wash.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
PROFEXTRU: Within every product group we have innovations. For Combiboard we will introduce a new panel with a different size, for Prolock we will introduce a new a sheet pile that stands out because of its unique width, for Profex we will add several new colours to our wall cladding and for Excellent Panel we will enter a new market.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
PROFEXTRU: Combiboard: wall panel systems for the agricultural and construction sector.
Prolock: Sheetpiling, dike protection, watercourses and sealing screens.
Profex: wide range of wall cladding for new or replacement within recreation, living, garden and utility.
Excellent Panel: hygienic wall panel system for walls and ceilings in car and truck wash.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
PROFEXTRU: Trends we face are sustainability, flexibility, automation processes, more far-reaching laws and regulations and safety.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
PROFEXTRU: A new filter screen that we are developing. The filter screen is used as a dike reinforcement system on the landward side, where very small trenches allow water to pass through underground, but not sand. This is a relatively simple way of strengthening the dike for the next few decades.
A second innovation is the development of panels that can be used to address the housing shortage.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2022?
PROFEXTRU: Staying economically healthy in the most sustainable way possible. This is reflected in the service to our current customers as well as the innovations currently under development.
