Proplastica was founded almost 30 years ago as FCPK Bytów. Continuous growth thanks to the involvement of people and investments in technologies, machines, automation and robots, has led the company to the position among the top companies in the industry in Europe. Their main activities are dedicated to mold and die makers in Europe. Proplastica supplies them with quality plates and parts necessary to create such tools.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
PROPLASTICA: Proplastica specializes in production and sale of standard and special plates and components for molds and dies. Our capacity allows us to offer plates up to 3 meters long with full CNC work.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
PROPLASTICA: We have introduced new cycle counters under MoldMaker brand which allows for remote reading of the tool activity.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
PROPLASTICA: Our offer includes elements for molds: ejectors, leader pin and guide bushings, self-lubricating plates, locating rings, locks, counters, couplers, fittings, cooling accessories, date stamps and marking inserts, insulating plates, ISO springs and standard mold plates; and dies: various types of guide pins and bushings, retaining clamps and die sets.
In addition, thanks to cooperation with trusted suppliers, the assortment also includes lifting, locating, fastening, tunnel gates, gas springs, hydraulic cylinders, wireless counters with remote system and tool opening systems.
The capacity of our plant in Kielce is special machining – according to the customer’s technical specification, in wide range the processing possibilities.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
PROPLASTICA: Market is very active, plenty of new projects, in particular on our domestic ground in Poland.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
PROPLASTICA: We suspect even more activity after holiday season, expecting German automotive market to accelerate after COVID pause. This in turn will bring much more works for all tool-makers.
Yet we need to be careful as the lack of skilled specialists in our industry will become a crucial factor limiting industry capacity. And automation and innovation will not be able to fill this gap in short run.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
PROPLASTICA: MoldMaker remote tool activity reading system with dedicated app enabling wide range of analysis and calculations.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
PROPLASTICA: We expect much better year than 2020. We believe that despite different COVID mutations no lock-downs will take place any more, we will learn to live in new reality and continue to develop.
