Interview with Beatrice Mondello, Marketing & Communication Manager at QuickLink Solutions.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Beatrice Mondello: With our Niagara Framework-based solutions, we strive to make the configuration, commissioning and maintenance of energy management systems quick and easy. Since 2008, QuickLink Solutions has been developing and delivering innovative and advanced solutions for building and industry energy management, such as:
- Drivers for the integration of devices and systems with proprietary communication protocols.
- EasyLink and EnergyLink, for centralized supervision and control and advanced energy analysis.
- Software utilities and interfaces to simplify configuration tasks and facilitate connectivity.
We research and select innovative products and technologies to offer a complete and integrated solution and being able to ensure effective interoperability between systems, improve building performance, reduce costs and consumption and achieve optimal levels of safety and comfort. Furthermore, we support the collaboration by integrating and exchanging data with various systems, such as ERP, CMMS and document management systems.
Energy conservation is a central concern to all interdependent industries. In today buildings there are huge energy saving potentials, especially considering that 75% of buildings in Europe are inefficient. With energy prices rising, greater scarcity of resources and building regulations becoming stricter, the bar has been set higher than ever before for building performance. Sustainability is high on agenda for companies and societies because the awareness & expectations are increased. Integrate sustainability to all action is vital, it’s an important growth driver and a great marketing opportunity. Our mind-set and daily work are aimed to reach this target, mainly developing and selling solutions and products enabling energy savings and people centricity.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
B.M: Today our solutions aim to the building of the future, where systems can predict the expected results according to the learned variables, also integrating data from external systems, such as weather forecasts, events, etc. This is the case of our Easy Machine Learning, developed by QuickLink Solutions with latest generation technologies to work both in Cloud and On-Premises. The framework uses the IoT Niagara platform as a Data Provider for data acquisition in Machine Learning models. The system allows you to have a predictive anomaly detection, predict energy consumption in advance, perform simulations to evaluate improvements and optimize systems automatically.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2022?
B.M: We conclude the year looking at the future with many innovations and projects that will have further developments in 2023. This is also thanks to our partner network of Certified System Integrators, with whom there is always a continuous exchange of ideas and the shared search to find solutions suited to the today market demands.
