SIMA SOLUTIONS GmbH was founded in 2013 in Spaichingen. Now they are situated with the new plant in D-78658 Zimmern o.R. in the Black Forest, in the middle of Stuttgart to the Lake of Constance. Their competence team consists of 11 employees: technical and administration experts. SIMA SOLUTIONS offers service and precision round about spindle technology. 

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

SIMA SOLUTIONS: We set our focus on offering solid services in repairing all spindle types of all kind of lathes, milling or grinding machines.

Spindles belonging to machines of: Kessler, Weiss, StepTec, DECKEL, GMN LICON, Stama, Mori Seiki, INDEX, Matsuura, MAZAK, Brother, GROB, Mikrosa, Precise, Chiron, Heller, Fischer, Hermle, HELLER, DMG, Fiege, SKF, SPL, Gamfior, Omlat, etc.

We also repair all kind of main drive engines of : Siemens, Weiss, Fanuc, Kessler, Baumüller, Bosch Rexroth etc.

  • Welding and finish grinding of spindle shafts (tool holder, bearing seat);
  • Producing new spindles;
  • Designing and testing stators;
  • Welding and finish grinding of spindle housing parts etc. 

We complement highest knowledge with newest processing technology and high-precision measurement technology. Resulting in guaranteed quality on the highest level at any time.

E.E: What’s the news for 2020 about new products?

SIMA SOLUTIONS: In our case we can’t talk about new products but about new offered services or ideas.

We maintain, refurbish, repair spindles. Our production hall is equipped with modern handcrafts workplaces and is designed for demounting, repairing and maintaining spindles. There is no production for manufacturing products or parts.

However, we are entering the engineering branch and designing customised chamfering machines.

We are also proud having established and applying the Quality Management system according to the standard ISO 9001:2015 as well as an Environmental Management System.

At the moment, we are renewing our certificate according to the standard ISO 9001:2015 . The audit will be performed in November, this year.

E.E: What are the ranges of traded products?

SIMA SOLUTIONS: No traded products we offer our services.

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

SIMA SOLUTIONS: We don‘t stick to one market but to different ones, such as:

  • Automotive branch;
  • Medical sector;
  • Mechanical engineering sector.

We show a great diversity.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

SIMA SOLUTIONS: The market trend is that we exchange spindles with the ones we have here available in stock before repairing the customers’ ones. So that our customer doesn’t have to wait until his spindle is repaired and ready for delivery. This is a great advantage for our customer.

The usual repair time is about 3-6 weeks. However it depends to the occurred damage of each spindle.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

SIMA SOLUTIONS: We daily handle with the most innovate technology of spindles and machines.

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2020? 2021

SIMA SOLUTIONS: We will keep up our high-quality level of our company. Actually, it’s not obvious/ manageable to give a reliable forecast, because of the Covid-19 virus. However, as we  have successfully navigated the cliffs in the last months we are confident to navigate the boot again in future, that means we have confidence in the upcoming. We are always ready to challenge further projects.
