Sinfotech.it S.r.l. is one of the leading European suppliers of RFID, NFC and Bluetooth hardware, with customers all over the world and the main warehouse in Italy. Thanks to its stock, it is able to quickly deliver its products all over the world.

Interview with Gabriele Barbesta, Content Editor & Sales Manager at Sinfotech.it S.r.l.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Gabriele Barbesta: The main areas of Sinfotech.it S.r.l. are NFC (RFID HF) and RAIN RFID tags and readers. In particular, we sell NFC products on ShopNFC website and RAIN RFID products on RFID.it website.

Sinfotech.it S.r.l. also provides services such as RFID programming, ID reading and printing/customizing the products. For example, we can rapidly assembling labels on a roll with RFID/NFC tags, encoding them, and marking them with serials in human-readable digits, barcodes, or QR codes. We are also partner of GS1, so we can program the EPC memory following the GS1 guidelines.

E.E: What’s the news about new products?

G.B: Technology sectors are characterized by rapid renewal. In our industry, we periodically see the release of new chips, with higher sensitivity (ease of reading), with better performance, more memory, additional functions. Not only this, but also the integration of chips inside innovative materials, due to their dimensions or physical characteristics.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

G.B: RFID tags: These are small devices that can be attached to or embedded in a variety of objects, such as clothing, luggage, or packages. RFID tags contain a unique identification number and can store other information, such as the item’s location or status.

RFID readers: These are devices that can read and write data to RFID tags. RFID readers can be handheld, mounted on a vehicle, or integrated into a fixed system.

RFID antennas: These are devices that transmit and receive radio waves between RFID readers and tags. RFID antennas can be directional or omnidirectional, depending on the application. Depending on the readers, the antenna could be embedded or external. Many readers support the connection of multiple antennas, to monitor a wider areas, or to correctly locate specific tags according to the antenna that detects them

RFID Printers: Printers are very usuful in case of RFID/NFC labels, because allow you to simultaneously print, read and encode them, even starting from an existing database.

E.E:At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

G.B: The RFID market is well established, but still growing.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

G.B: More and more companies are adopting RFID technology to improve their warehouses, supply chain, inventory, or access control. In the NFC area, this year we have also seen an increase in its use in marketing and retail.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

G.B: The most innovative product marketed is the Confidex Carrier Dual NFC/UHF. Its chip can be read both by NFC and UHF readers, allowing more innovative solutions.

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?

G.B: This sector is growing rapidly. We have seen it in over ten years of activity, and sector studies confirm it. We expect further growth in 2023.
