SOLARCO Machinery is located in the central part of the Czech Republic and its origin date back in May 1990. Since the beginning, the company was closely connected with paper industry, but they soon found their passion in designing boxmaking machines for short and medium runs, producing almost all the parts inhouse and selling their boxmakers worldwide with help of sales-agents in certain countries.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
SOLARCO MACHINERY: We offer automatic and semiautomatic boxmakers for production of slotted boxes and fixations made of single, double or triple wall paper cardboard. Our corrugated converting machinery has modular design which enables some models to add an automatic loading and unloading/stacking system, smart flexo printing, multi-out along and across or additional die-cut options.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
SOLARCO MACHINERY: This year, we are working on widening the options for infeed stations which are extended feeding and transporting systems for our Boxmatic line both for input and output. Newly it will be possible to feed cardboard with pallets or pallet free (table with fork slots). The operator then can move the stacks by automated rollers into the machine.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
SOLARCO MACHINERY: We produce 4 machine lines at the moment. All of which may be equipped with optional configuration depending on the customer needs.
Easymatic (semi-automatic machine without guillotine for production of corrugated regular slotted boxes, trays, partitions and cut-out parts with the option of additional die-cut. It can also simply cut and crease a cardboard lengthwise.
Ecomatic (semi-automatic machine for production of corrugated regular slotted boxes, trays, partitions and cut-out parts with the option of additional die-cut. It can also simply cut and crease a cardboard both crosswise and lengthwise from single-wall and double-wall corrugated boards.
Boxmatic Manual (semi-automatic machine with manual feeder for production of corrugated boxes, trays, partitions and cut-out parts with the option of additional die-cut and flexo print (e.g. for company or RESY logo) can also simply cut and crease a cardboard both crosswise and lengthwise from single-wall and double-wall corrugated boards. Under certain circumstances, it is also possible to process tri-wall.
Boxmatic (automatic machine for production of corrugated boxes, trays, partitions and cut-out parts with the option of additional die-cut and flexo print (e.g. for company or RESY logo). It can also simply cut and crease a cardboard both crosswise and lengthwise. The production of basic slotted boards is possible from single-wall, double-wall or triple wall corrugated boards. This machine can also be equipped with a downstacker.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
SOLARCO MACHINERY: Last year, our markets had a short waiting period to see how the mood will evolve, but our machinery are after all investments which means there could not be drop of orders from one day to another. Thankfully, paper packaging trend has been continuous steady growth and in times of nowadays quarantines, growing number of deliveries, online shopping and better quality of paper which is often replacing wooden packaging, we are noticing positive mood on the market.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
SOLARCO MACHINERY: We can see that the costumers are looking for larger, robust, stable and more efficient machines that can do multiple jobs (creasing, cutting, large format printing, small format production, etc…).
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
SOLARCO MACHINERY: We expect to have a good year and we can see already a big demand in the market (especially coming from the USA and Poland). Also, clients that were afraid to buy, during last year due to the Corona Virus pandemic are coming back and want to buy again.
