Stat-X Deutschland GmbH is part of the Stat-X Group, a European Network of companies specialized in ESD protection. The German Company takes the role as the ESD-Center of Competence inside this group.
The company is providing ISO 29993 certified learning services for ESD Coordinators in English and German language. The learning service takes 3 days. Additionally, they make audits and certifications for ESD-control-program-plans which are established following the requirements of IEC 61340-5-1 Part 5-1: Protection of electronic devices from electrostatic phenomena – General requirements and qualification measurements for ESD control components.
Moreover, Stat-X works inside the ESD-standardization (TC101 and DKE/K185) to hold the knowledge up to date. One of their unique services is the possibility to fulfill the role as an external ESD coordinator for customers.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Christian Hinz: The Stat-X Group and especially Stat-X Deutschland GmbH offers their products and services European wide.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
C.H: We are in research and development for different ESD control- components. The latest innovation is the ESD Field Guard. A simple field meter to control the entrance and workstation which signalize charged persons and equipment.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
C.H: The Stat-X Group is a system provider for ESD-control components. The Stat-X Deutschland GmbH offers learning service outside formal education facilities, measurements of ESD control components and technical services in the ESD market.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
C.H: We support the electronic industry from OEM to tier xx in the automotive industry as well as medical companies, space and aerospace or transportation supplies across Europe.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
C.H: Beneath all the challenges the market faces today we see the movement of production sites from Asia back to Europe and the beginning process from industry 4.0 to industry 5.0. Humans and machines will work closer together in combined processes. Many customers shift the requirements for ESD safe handling machineries to their suppliers.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
C.H: The ESD-Field Guard – Detecting and signalizing of charges above the possibilities of personal grounding testers.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2022?
C.H: In the challenging market and covid situation we are hoping to find new technical staff to expand our business.
