TEFSA: We present our group of companies based on the statement that Filtration is our World: «Global Filtration Solutions» is how we define TEFSA; a company dedicated to the search of complete solutions to your filtration problems.
In this sense we have developed, in these last 46 years, personal solutions with different types of filtration equipment, offering a broad range of products capable to give solutions to every filtration problem with the suitable equipment and technology for each case.
E.E: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
TEFSA: TEFSA applies the own specific filtration know-how in optimum and well-balanced solutions, quality in our products and services, and tailor-made units for customers with exceptional requirements.
The main TEFSA filtration equipment line, designed and completely manufactured in Barcelona, is listed as following:
- Chamber & Membrane Filter Presses;
- Belt Filter Presses;
- Vacuum Filters: Drum and Belt Types;
- Pressure Filters;
- Others Products – Always related to the filtration activity, TEFSA provides some equipment of own design and construction in order to complete the installation works, either before or after the filtration process (mainly thickeners) or for the sludge conditioning process, pumping, instrumentation, etc., as well as engineering services.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
TEFSA: Specifically for filter presses, we have a new design for large unit with plate size 2000 x 2000 mm and 2800 x 2200 mm which are directed mainly to the mining industry and environmental application, like waste water of drinking water plants, where the capacities requests, thus the sizing of the filter presses, are every time larger. Also the company has a substantial growth in application in the food and pharmaceutical industries with specialized stainless steel protected clean-room filter presses.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
TEFSA: TEFSA operates on worldwide basis, covering over 80 markets with agents and also own TEFSA offices in the USA (TEFSA-USA for North American markets), Taiwan (TEFSA Asia Pacific for China and Asian markets) and Brazil (TEFSA-LATAM for Brazil and South American markets).
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
TEFSA: As per pour developments, we see an increasing need, as European manufacturer, in the specialized high-quality and high-yield filter presses for a food and pharmaceutical applications, where other manufacturers (especially the Asian competitors) do not have the experience and technology. The same applies to very large units for the mining applications (mainly tailings and metal concentrates). We also see new opportunities in new markets, as also other limitations in existing markets and for the waste applications where cheaper equipment from newcomers are getting part of the market.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
TEFSA: There is not much to invent technologically speaking on the filtration market, just improvements in automation on existing technologies and modernization of certain components, revised designs to propose a higher quality and specific product for each application.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
TEFSA: We expect a market increase of 6-8% for2021 in our specific range of applications where we are strong in.
