INTERVIEW WITH TEKATEX POLAND TEXTILE MACHINERY

Tekatex Poland Textile Machinery is a Polish company dealing in the sale of textile machines and other services related to this industry. The company has been providing its services since 2009, but the roots of the company’s establishment go back a bit further – up to the 1970s.

At that time, the company provided services in the production of both synthetic and natural products.

The experience gained in this way, related to the thorough knowledge of the production process, allowed them to get involved in the production machinery sector, which resulted in the founding of the TEKATEX company.

Interview with Jacek Kupis, International Sales Specialist at Tekatex Poland Textile Machinery.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Jacek Kupis: The main goal of our company is to supply our customers with machines for the textile industry and to provide a wide range of services in this area – mainly in the area of nonwovens production.

Our flexibility and experience gained over the years of machine production allows us to implement even very non-standard projects, made in accordance with the wishes and requirements of our customers.

Thanks to experienced and highly qualified staff, we are able to offer professional services in the field of construction and renovation of existing machines or entire production lines, as well as relocation and consulting services. We provide our services worldwide.

E.E: What’s the news about new products?

J.K: We are currently focusing on developing our machines for opening and recycling synthetic and natural fibres.

We recently delivered our newest product – the TEKATEX ET-500N Edge Trim Opener, designed to open alpaca fibers – to one of our customers in Peru.

At present, we feel the demand on the market related to the recycling of post-production waste and its further processing into a finished product – i.e. openers for various types of fibers that can be processed and reused in the production process of finished products, such as: felt, non-woven, geotextiles etc.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

J.K: Our main export equipment at the moment are machines for opening and recycling fibers – specifically bale opening/mixing lines, as well as openers for edge trimming.

In our offer, you can also find single devices that are part of production lines, such as: Crosslappers, Volumetric/Hopper Feeders , Calanders, Thermobonding Ovens, Mixing chambers, Cutting&Winding Units, as well as additional devices such as Rotary or Polyurethane foam cutters, and others.

In addition to standard new machines in our offer – we also sell used textile machines – mainly from European manufacturers – after complete renovation.

Before delivery, the machines are fully restored and equipped with new control systems. All of the works are carried out in our factory in Leszczyny, Poland.

Devices subjected to the renovation/modernization process do not differ from the standards of new machines, so this solution is also popular among our customers. We are able to service a single machine or a complete production line.

We also often deal with the sale of complete production lines consisting of new machines – of our production, and used equipment – after complete renovation.

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

J.K: The situation on the market is not stable, which is mainly due to, in our opinion, global inflation, and the situation related to the war in Ukraine – which largely limited exports to eastern markets.

Thanks to our flexibility and development in the field of various branches of the textile industry, as well as thanks to the extension of our offer in the field of new machines, we are able to cope with the current market conditions, although we deeply hope that in the near future the situation should stabilize and the market will start – which will also result in an increase in sales.

We try to continue to develop and follow market trends on an ongoing basis. In June, we participated in the very popular Textile Industry Fairs – Techtextil 2022, in Frankfurt am Main.

For the first time, we participated in the Fair as an exhibitor and time has shown that it was a very good decision, because thanks to this we met many potential customers, opened up to new markets, and also managed to get some really interesting orders and projects.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

J.K: Currently, we are observing a high dynamics related to the increase in efficiency on production lines, and an increase in production automation – with the use of new technologies, as well as a strong emphasis on the recycling of post-production raw materials and their reuse in the production process. Thanks to such changes, companies save money on the human factor – reducing the employment of employees, and on recycling of raw materials, which instead of being dispozed, go back to be used in production.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

J.K: We observe the development of the nonwovens sector – as well as continuous modernization in the production process, in various technologies.

At the moment, it is difficult to identify leading innovative products, the market is constantly evolving.

E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2022?

J.K: At the moment, we are in the process of implementing several projects – mainly intended for the recycling sector, we are also trying to complete further orders for 2023.

We are also focusing on summarizing the current year, which is coming to an end.

From this place, I would also like to thank all our long-term and new customers who have placed their trust in us – for the cooperation so far, and wish that the New Year will bring many benefits and more interesting projects for all of us.

On behalf of the TEKATEX company, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
