Interview with Andreas Grochowiak, Managing Director TG hyLIFT GmbH.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Andreas Grochowiak: In close cooperation with its customers, the company develops and designs the hyCLEANER® cleaning systems. Great importance is given to the opinion and feedback of the customers; the real cleaning professionals who know exactly what is particularly important in the cleaning work. The company distributes its products worldwide – working directly or also through dealers and distributors in various territories.

E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?

A.G: In 2021, the company TG hyLIFT GmbH will launch a new product for solar panel cleaning and will thereby expand its product range in this segment. The new product hyCLEANER® solarROBOT optimally complements the existing products and has, for example, a completely new feature: the autodrive-technology.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

A.G: TG hyLIFT GmbH has been providing semi-automatic cleaning solutions for several years, which promise a simple, fast and thorough cleaning of façades, photovoltaic installations and glass roofs. The hyCLEANER® products “made in Germany” are being sold and used all over the world. In the field of window and façade cleaning, TG hyLIFT GmbH offers different models and sizes. The use of hyCLEANER® series offers an economic advantage for surfaces from at least 500 m².

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

A.G: With regard to our solar and photovoltaic activities, we are on an absolute growth market. There are so many projects worldwide, that either are currently realized or are still in the planning stage. Therefore, we feel that there is a huge demand for cleaning systems like the ones we offer. One must not forget the solar systems that have already been installed. Cleaning of these is also necessary in order to guarantee the yield. In the area of Facility Management, too, we do not notice any stagnation or even decline – here, in particular, our facade cleaning systems and roof cleaning robots are used.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

A.G: As to market trends, we notice from our customers, that everybody is talking about the topic of automation. Customers thereby expect to save time and effort, increase productivity and efficiency, provide consistent cleaning results and improve staff safety.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

A.G: In terms of our product ranges, the most innovative products are our cleaning robots for PV systems and glass roofs. These semi-automatic cleaning robots are operated via radio-remote control, which allows precise operation and handling – without any physical stress for the machine’s operator and signs of fatigue. It guarantees safe working conditions: Thanks to the radio-remote control, stepping onto roof surfaces or even the solar modules is not necessary – also areas difficult to access can be cleaned easily. The machine can be equipped optionally with edge detection sensors that means that the machine stops automatically once it has reached the end of the roof or solar panel.

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?

A.G: We assume that the markets in which we are active and in which our products are used and in demand will continue to develop positively and grow.
