Interview with Edin DRAGANOVIC, Sales Director at Topp & Screed.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Edin DRAGANOVIC: The main area of activity of Topp & Screed is the placement and screeding of concrete floors in all building types.
Our equipment has been specified for use in the construction of logistics centers, manufacturing assembly plants, and other commercial construction projects that request very flat floors.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
E.D: The latest addition to its product range is the TS6100e, fully electric, battery powered Mini Superflat Screed. The zero emissions, compact concrete levelling machine is ideal for industrial concrete floors, freezers, garages, parking areas, mezzanines, and other construction jobs where space is limited and meets consumer demands for an environmentally sensitive machine. During the Bauma 2022 in Munich, we will release a new type of machine on the market. We want this machine to be a game changer which will boost the daily productivity.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
E.D: The range of products includes automated concrete screeds, laser guided screeds, topping spreaders, fiber integration machines, concrete dumpers and finishing equipment.
Alongside our range of thermic products, we want to position ourselves as a world leader by offering electric machines.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
E.D: The current market trend is increasingly towards mechanization for various reasons: lack of manpower, pressure to deliver projects under tight schedules, increase in quality standards of floors, etc. This trend leads to the following benefits: increased daily productivity, reduced form work, wider panel width and accurate levels.
Topp & Screed works in this direction by offering high-performance products that meet current standards and require little maintenance.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
E.D: The trend of our industry is following the current trend of the society. Namely that flooring contractors are increasingly concerned about the environment and their impact in terms of CO2 emissions and carbon footprint. It is precisely in this sense that Topp & Screed based on three axes: the environment, robotics and artificial intelligence.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
E.D: All our products are very successful with the various flooring contractors.
The major advancement on our machines is the incorporation of new software, SFS 2.0, linked to a tactile touch screen. This software is an in-house innovation which allows the operator greater control and fine-tuning during operation, and is available in French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Russian as standard.
The SFS 2.0 software is a fully automated platform which controls the machine, and has an easy-to-use colored interface, innovative features, and rock-solid stability.
This software is the base for all Topp & Screed machines. Using the latest technology and built-in features makes it a simple and smart platform allowing machines to be used for different applications and perform with precision and accuracy to meet today’s demanding industry standards in terms of flatness and levelness e.g. FM1, DIN15185 and Fmin75 and may eliminate the need for remedial grinding.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2022?
E.D: The trend is clearly bullish in Europe. In other international markets, except China, activity levels remain positive and anticipate opportunities for 2022 with long-term growth for new products.
Plan increased hiring of skilled staff and development of sales network in targeted international markets.
We want to support concrete flooring contractors in production by providing them with innovative solutions, technical support with high quality European components to achieve the highest results in the most efficient, cost effective and safest manner possible.
