Easy Engineering: A brief description of the company and its activities.
VARTEK MACHINERY: Vartek Machinery was established in 2014 in Bursa, the hard of industrial production of Turkey. The founder of the company, Emre VARISLI, has an experience of over 20 years in sheet metal fabricating machinery world. Having closely worked with thousands of customers from around the world, he had a solid grasp of the gap between what the fabricators need and what they are offered.
This is the core reason of Vartek’s existence. It is our belief that we can create a positive difference with our grasp of the market, our mentality and our products.
We are not in the business of treating our customers like a commodity buyer. We know well that every fabricator has different needs and different production scenarios and every press brake and shear in turn has to be crafted to suit different needs.
In this sense, we are proud to present ourselves as an engineering company first and machinery builder next.
For this reason, we don’t have a sales pitch to go through. We prefer to listen to what our customers say, go over their production process and finally choose or create together a model that will make things easier for them today and tomorrow.
We are also proud of our design and production team working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring customers not just a machine but a solution that is crafted for specific needs. All our staff are sector veterans and they have spent long years building press brakes and shears. Guided with the right vision and mission, they thrive to design and build the best solution for our customers.
E.E: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
VARTEK MACHINERY: Our company specialized in research and development, engineering, production and trade of CNC hydraulic press brakes and CNC hydraulic guillotine shears.
E.E: What’s the news for 2020 about new products?
VARTEK MACHINERY: 2020 was a very tough year due to pandemic for Vartek as everybody else, however we have not stopped our R&D activities and 2020 saw the introduction of our premium backgauge completely designed&built in completely by Vartek engineers. These backgauges, starting from a single X axis all the way up to a 6 axis model, sport a complete aluminum cast and aluminum extrusion structure providing rigidity and stability as well as speed. We are very proud with the results and our customers agree.
E.E: What are the ranges of traded products?
VARTEK MACHINERY: In our production range we have 2 main products. One of them is CNC hydraulic press brakes and the another one is CNC guillotine shears. Both of them have also different series.
Hydraulic press brakes have 4 series:
- PrimaForm – is the flagship press brake of Vartek. It is designed for production environments that run high mix/low volume parts and require frequent machine setups. All of its features are designed for customers working with materials like stainless steel and aluminum.
- AccuraForm – is a versatile press brake designed to be utilized in low to medium volume/medium to high mix environments. It is an ideal press brake for customers that need frequent setups for their production but do not run products with uneven flanges or tapered edges that would require a six axis backgauge.
- AdvanceForm – is designed and built for production environments that process high volume/low mix products. AdvanceForm shares the same modular structure with AccuraForm so customers purchasing AdvanceForm enjoy a rigid frame machined to 0,01 mm accuracy in single piece with a deep throat and high stroke/daylight that can form large format plates as well as deep box/panels.
- BasicForm – is designed and built for customers who process simple parts and do not need to run their press brake for more than a couple of hours a day. Easy to use control and simple operation of BasicForm makes it convenient for customers who require a budget solution for their simple bending requirements. BasicForm is an entry level press brake but by sharing the same modular structure with AdvanceForm, it makes no compromise on quality, consistency and dependability.
Hydraulic guillotine shears have 2 series:
- EcoCut – is designed and built for customers who require a dependable, swing beam type shear with a good price/performance ratio.
- PrimaCut – is designed and built for customers who require precision and versatility from a shear. It is a heavy-duty shear with a very strong, rigid frame that performs admirably both in maximum and minimum capacity thanks to its automatic cutting angle adjustment and automatic blade clearance.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
VARTEK MACHINERY: In fact, this is an ever-growing market. In every country where the industry is active, especially in countries where the construction industry is developing rapidly, the demand for our products is increasing every year. But of course, the desired growth could not be achieved in the market this year due to the pandemic.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
VARTEK MACHINERY: The slowdown, which reached almost the maximum level in the second quarter of the year, started to recover slowly from the end of the third quarter. Also, according to the prognoses given by the expert economists the world trade is expected to start growing again in 2021. And actually, we are already beginning to see this improvement in markets where we are particularly good, such as Italy, Poland, Russia, Hungary, Czechia and the USA.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
VARTEK MACHINERY: One of our most innovative products (and sub products for that matter) is our premium backgauge that provides unparalleled speed as well accuracy for our customers.
Another interesting product we offer to our customers is a laser/camera based real time angle measurement/correction system we developed together with Lazersafe Inc, an Australian based company. This system can measure the angle of a profile real time, detect the springback of the material and can compensate in real time to give the correct angle to the product, all in one cycle.
We are the only Turkish press brake builder that can offer this system to our customers worldwide thanks to our tight relation with Lazersafe and our continuous R&D efforts.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2020?
VARTEK MACHINERY: As I mentioned above, an increase in production and sales should not be expected for 2020 compared to last year. However, with the momentum we have achieved in the last quarter of the year, we estimate that we will close 2020 with satisfied results.
