VIAVAC is a specialist and leading manufacturer and supplier of vacuum lifters for mounting sandwich panels, steel roofing sheets and glass elements. VIAVAC vacuum lifters are used all over the world. By their expanding network of trusted dealers, service such as local advice, safety inspections, repair and maintenance are available in many countries.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
VIAVAC: Due to the increasing constructional requirements of buildings, the higher demands of the materials used and the increasingly stringent requirements and working conditions on the construction site, the demand for suitable solutions to assemble these materials in an efficient and safe manner is also increasing.
When it comes to installing sandwich roof and facade cladding, steel roofing sheets or glass elements, VIAVAC has the appropriate means for this. VIAVAC offers a complete range of vacuum lifting equipment.
Safety, reliability and functionality are paramount in the development of the products. With 25 years of experience, VIAVAC has achieved a leading position that is reflected in all its products. This offers you security and you can rely on vacuum lifters that have already proven their worth.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
VIAVAC: The new product of 2021 is the VIAVAC GBH-1800 which is designed to lift large and/or heavy glass elements of up to 1,800 kg.
More information about the VIAVAC GBH-1800 can be found here: https://www.viavac.com/local-news/new-viavac-glass-lifter-for-large-and-heavy-glass-up-to-1-800-kg/.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
VIAVAC: Our lifting devices for lifting roof and facade cladding, steel roofing sheets or glass elements are designed for daily use in construction, which translates into a long service life and trouble-free use. Our tools are also outstandingly resistant to weather conditions, and you can just work through the rain.
Safety is primary, and our vacuum lifters are therefore, as required by the European norm, equipped with Secondary safety devices. This can be done with slings or with two (dual) independent vacuum circuits.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
VIAVAC: Sandwich panels for roof and facade cladding have advanced in recent decades at the expense of traditional surface-mounted systems (with a separate inner plate, insulation material, and an outer cladding). This is because sandwich panels have great insulating properties and can be installed very easily. Only their additional weight, dimensions, and fragility can pose challenges to the assembly crew. By using cranes in combination with the appropriate vacuum panel lifters, these panels can be installed safely and quickly.
The use of glass in construction is on the rise. The trend is to use ever larger (and therefore heavier) elements. Together with the increasingly strict requirements for working conditions, this means that manual installation is outdated. The use of cranes in combination with appropriate vacuum lifting tools makes it possible for very large glass panels to be installed safely and quickly.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
VIAVAC: The CladBoy is the modular and versatile vacuum lifting device for installing both sandwich roof and sandwich wall panels. The rechargeable battery ensures that you can work throughout the day, after which it can be recharged overnight.
Due to its modular concept, the CladBoy can be quickly and easily adapted to different purposes, such as the installation of:
- Flat or inclined roof panels with lengths ranging from 3 to 24 metres.
- Wall panels horizontally or vertically, up to lengths of 14 metres.
The CladBoy is optionally available with a telescopic traverse. This allows you to install sandwich roof panels with a length up to 16 meters. In combination with extra extension beams you are able to install sandwich roof panels with a length up to 20 meters, respectively.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
VIAVAC: These are turbulent times for the entire industry. We go with the market and try to keep our service high.
