Yuanda Robotics was founded in Hannover and consists of a young and dynamic team. The three founders Jens Kotlarski, Matthias Dagen und Tobias Ortmaier wanted to create a collaborative robot that can be used by everyone and would revolutionize the market. That’s why they invented the cobot Yu that can be used flexible and that would help in particular medium-sized companies in their production.
The Cobot can be used to cover a wide range of applications (screwing, sorting, gluing, assembling).
The idea behind Yuanda’s Cobot Yu: place Yu on a passible and in the morning a quality inspection can be performed, in the evening the robot takes over the machine loading. The idea is to make the Cobot Yu your colleague who you can operate and who helps you when the work becomes too hard and too much

Yuanda Robotics: Creation of Cobot Yu.
User- friendly: Anyone who can send an e-mail via cell phone can operate the Cobot just as easily with the intelligent interface. We are one of the first Cobot manufacturers to make artificial intelligence practically applicable and accessible to everyone. These capabilities enable both laymen and experts to make the collaborative robot applicable and ready for use in the shortest possible time.
The collaborative robot “Yu” is versatile and can be used for sorting screws in the morning and quality control in the evening.
Easy programming: due to an Interface which is very easy to operate. No experts are needed to program the cobot. The collaborative robot can be guided by hand and the interface converts the sequence of movements into a program.
The user can select different command modules in the interface, which illustrate the movement with symbols and can be transformed into a personal program by the drag & drop system. So, if the Cobot is to take a coin and drop it into a bowl, the sequence of movements can be selected from the pre-defined commands. The idea of the easy to use interface is that both laymen and experts can use the program. Yuanda Robotics GmbH has already won the German Innovation Award and the Robotics Award 2020 for this user-friendly application.
E.E: What’s the news for 2020 about new products?
Yuanda Robotics: At the beginning of 2021 we are planning our market release. That’s why we are currently preparing (in 2020) this event.
E.E: What are the ranges of traded products?
Yuanda Robotics: Since we have many features in one product, we have only one cobot.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
Yuanda Robotics: There are only few comparable Cobots in Germany. Our innovation, like the camera system and the guaranteed safety are unique.
The main goal of Yuanda Robotics is to bring usability in combination with high-tech features to society in an efficient and clear way. The pure operation of the robot is supplemented by numerous interfaces as we already know them from Alexa and Siri. This makes using the Cobot as easy as using a smartphone and ensures that no experts are needed for the Cobot.

Yuanda Robotics: There are few market trends:
- The trend towards ever greater digitization in manufacturing;
- New and ever cheaper sensors that make robots more powerful, easier to install and operate;

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
Yuanda Robotics: Many Cobots have an integrated camera or fine sensors, but there is no one but us who combines these two complex technologies.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
Yuanda Robotics: In 2021 we plan our market launch. We want to enter the European market and mainly make sure that our customers are still satisfied. Furthermore, we want to expand individual functions of the robot.
