LUMESIA is born from the merger of two companies from Italy (FAIService) and France (Eurotoll), actives in all Europe. LUMESIA service represents some 1.2 bll € of turnover. Their activities consist of providing trustful solutions to transport companies to simplify their life on the road and improve their efficiency.

Road service to transport companies, such as fuel cards, toll payment solutions, telematic solutions, insurances, VAT and excise duty refund, multimodal booking (trucks on ferries and trucks on trains) and truck shop goods.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
As part of the LUMESIA service platform, we have just introduced:
- A new On Board Unit called “LUMESIA 1” for the payment of road charges (toll) in 14 European countries (and soon 18 !), associated to a mobile app for the setting of the On Board Unit,
- A new range of telematic services with Geolocation and Chrono tachygraph with remote download of the social data of the drivers, based on 2 web based portals for “Essential” or “Advanced” needs of our clients,
- A new range of insurance services have been introduced in 2022 in Italy and is a great success through a brand-new digital platform.

The market of road transport is mature in all Europe, however, with the evolution for the European legislations, there are new needs emerging every years, and always opportunities to help our clients improving their efficiency and profitability with our services.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
The market is in a consolidation phase with lots of acquisitions taking place to create stronger players on the market. In the meantime, small new players are emerging, with one to few trucks, and they work as subcontractors for the big players. This trend is very similar to the “Uberisation” we can observe in various industries.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
LUMESIA 1 is the new innovative On-Board Unit for Toll payment and Telematic service, this product and its associated services is a technology breakthrough and brings numerous new benefits to our clients.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?
There is a tendency in the tolling market to try to develop tolling based on smartphone or chrono tachygraph, this will certainly take years before it becomes a reality but the trend is there and we carefully follow it to always be at the top of the technology for our clients.
