Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Matteo Perfetti: Our department is mainly a steel exporting business, with annual steel exporting tonnage approx. 2.5 million tons (2021 exceeding 3.2million tons till now).
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
M.P: Supplying products covering mainly Stainless Steel, Carbon steel and Special steel with good long-term relationships with Asian leading stainless-steel manufacturers such as Tisco, Baosteel etc. With the mill’s full support, we have utmost confidence that our quality and prices will be more competitive than others.
E.E: What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
M.P: The market as it stands to date is somewhat stuck in motion due to the current Suez Canal issue, however we are reluctant to let this deter us too much as the demand for our supply is still high.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
M.P: We expect a restart of inquiry for material from the far east and the production of this material in the far east due to it being quite a long time that China’s steel production has been in a complete full recession, we expect H2 2024 for it to begin rolling again.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
M.P: Special products such as Stainless Steel and or other particular alloys.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the beginning of 2024?
M.P: We see a potential increase in the production and delivery in 2024, approximately by 30% due to strategic commercial investments done in the previous years.
