Tal Gutbir: NDL Industries Inc. is primarily engaged in two main areas of activity:
HVAC-R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration): NDL Industries specializes in the manufacturing of HVAC-R products. These include a range of fittings, valves, connectors, and other components that are essential for efficient and reliable HVAC-R systems. E.E: What’s the news about new products?
T.G: As the HVAC-R market is moving towards natural refrigerants and especially CO2, we try to adapt to this and provide superior quality products to cover the new and evolving needs in the refrigeration industry. The latest additions being the range of valves for high-pressure applications, such as CO2 refrigeration, and a range of fittings, also for high-pressure applications. As with the previous products, we strive to come to the market with the products that exceed expectations and perform above the requirements of the applicable standards.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
T.G: We have a wide range of products for both, HVAC-R and Plumbing. For HVAC-R, the main products are the copper fittings and ball valves, but we also offer filter driers, flexible gas connectors, fittings for PVC piping, brass fittings, etc.
The range of plumbing products covers many different types of fittings, from copper press systems to steel fittings. There is also a wide range of different types of valves, you can always find a right fight depending on the type of system you have and there are some plumbing specific valves like low-pressure boiler valves, anti-siphon frost proof faucets, etc.

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
T.G: The refrigeration market is mature and well-established. Refrigeration systems are widely used across various industries, including food and beverage, healthcare, logistics, and more. The market has seen significant advancements in technology, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability. However, there is still ongoing innovation and demand for improved solutions, particularly in response to evolving regulations and the need for eco-friendly refrigerants.
On the other hand, the plumbing market is also mature but experiencing continuous growth and adaptation. Plumbing systems are fundamental in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, providing essential water supply, sanitation, and gas distribution. There is a growing focus on environmentally friendly plumbing solutions and smart plumbing technologies. However, the change is not as rapid as in refrigeration industry.

T.G: As previously mentioned, the refrigeration industry is undergoing significant changes due to the increasing demand for energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions, there is a strong push for refrigeration systems that minimize energy usage and utilize eco-friendly refrigerants.

In the plumbing industry there is an increasing focus on water conservation and efficiency. Plumbing solutions that reduce water usage, such as low-flow fixtures and smart water management systems, are in high demand. There is also a growing interest in sustainable and eco-friendly plumbing practices, like use of recycled materials, adoption of renewable energy sources for water heating, and the implementation of “green” plumbing systems that minimize environmental impact. There is, of course, a continued demand for high-quality and reliable plumbing products that meet stringent regulatory standards. E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
T.G: The most innovative of our products are our CO2 valves. They are made from stainless steel and only PTFE seals and seats are used in them. These valves provide excellent corrosion resistance and long-term reliability.
Another innovation that we have is a special high-pressure fitting specifically designed for service valve installation, streamlining the process and ensuring a secure, leak-free seal. These have a significant benefit over regular fittings with fewer parts used and fewer operations being required to install the service valve. To sum up, it reduces the labor required for safety valve installation and reduces the amount of possible leakage points.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?
T.G: We have strategically invested in research and development to meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly refrigeration systems utilizing natural refrigerants. With the market trending towards sustainability, we have expanded our product offerings to include a new range of components tailored for natural refrigerants. By offering solutions that align with the industry’s direction, we expect to experience substantial growth and market success in 2023.
