Interview with Werner Kießwetter, Head of Marketing at proNIVO Messgeräte Handels GmbH.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Werner Kießwetter: proNIVO primarily engages in several key areas of activity, which include serving as wholesaler for construction equipment, providing distribution services for locators used in various industries, supplying multiple construction accessories necessary for different projects. Our main markets are the German speaking countries and all over Europe. We are always looking for new partners (info@pronivo.de).
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
W.K: We introduced a new range of prism and GPS poles. We also launched an innovative GNSS receiver, the PNR21, available in three different versions. The GNSS receiver comes equipped with user-friendly Android construction and surveying software.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?
W.K: Additionally to the products mentioned above, we also specialize in the sales and servicing of laser technology equipment, meeting the precision needs of customers in construction and related fields.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
W.K: The market for GNSS technique in the construction sector is still growing. Due to decreasing prices and easy to use software, the customer group is constantly growing. Also, new technologies broaden the market to new user groups, apart from the traditional construction companies and contractors.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
W.K: Digitalization is a dominant trend in the construction industry, and companies are also increasingly relying on automated workflows. Cloud computing and data-based workflows are also becoming widespread in companies. In addition, modern technologies enable tasks that used to require an entire team to be completed by one person.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
W.K: This would be the PNR21 GNSS receiver. It comes with a tilt sensor and the easy to use Android software PN Field pro for construction, surveying and GIS. Software and hardware work together smoothly. Additionally, we introduced a broad range of moisture meters for walls, floors and other areas of application.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2023?
W.K: Due to higher interest rates, material and workforce shortage, the construction industry is currently challenged. Digitalization and automatization are the most important trends to counteract to this situation. We believe that 2024 will be challenging as well, but new technologies, as mentioned above, will increase efficiency and we will use our international network to introduce even more innovations, e.g. automatized monitoring.
