Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Antonín Pelánek: At the core of our philosophy and activity lies the commitment to excellent ergonomics of each product. RIM chairs are developed and manufactured in Zlín Region in collaboration with international designers. Incorporation of quality materials, meticulous craftsmanship, unique design, and a steadfast commitment to sustainability have been our guiding ethos since the outset.

E.E: What’s the news about new products/services?

A.P: Furniture market is generally very demanding. Leading manufacturers are required to follow trends and to prepare and launch new products on practically yearly basis. Regular investments into innovative design are our priority which shift us among renowned European manufacturers. Among new designers that we’ve been collaborating with are for example Robin Platt from the UK or Marcelo Alegre from Spain.

Regarding services, we are particular about high quality post-sale customer service. We provide 5 to 10-year warranty during which we check the products’ condition and eventually perform product maintenance on site or in our production plant.

E.E: What are the ranges of products/services?

A.P: Our range of products adapts to changes we observe in workspaces. Our portfolio is therefore constantly growing. In addition to office chairs, we also offer armchairs, sofas, tables and barstools. We can help you furnish all areas of your workplace, including receptions and relaxation zones, and also various public spaces such as hotel lobbies or cafés.

E.E: What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

A.P: We export to more than 50 countries of the world. Our key markets are the Czech Republic, Germany, France and Austria. As a matter of interest, we have also delivered out chairs to vacation destinations, such as Malaysia or Mauritius. The northernmost country, where you can find our chairs, is Iceland, and the southernmost are the Republic of South Africa or New Zealand.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

A.P: The phenomenon of classic offices being replaced by less formal workspaces keeps expanding. The share of armchairs, sofas and acoustic elements in office environments constantly grows. Therefore, carefully designed office furniture not only enhances the aesthetic of your workplace, but also influences your productivity, creativity and overall wellbeing. Awareness of such important impacts is constantly increasing among companies, leading to adaptation of their work environment accordingly.
