The production of special, highly complex lightweight constructions made of aluminum for the truck, railway and special vehicle industries is a core competence of SAG Slovakia. SAG Slovakia realizes tailormade and efficient solutions in the field of aluminum products. The product portfolio is broad and ranges from space and weight optimized tank systems for various fluids (hydraulic oil, fuel, AD blue, coolant), storage box systems, loading areas, enclosures, vehicle cabins, seat structures for various vehicles to complex welded constructions, also for stationary use.
The highest quality and environmental standards are taken into account. Main products are fuel tanks and hydraulic-oil tanks – ranging from 0.2 liter to 4,500 liter. Furthermore, structural parts for roof and frame constructions for locomotives, door and window frames for trains, special storage containers, ventilation grilles, guide ducts and claddings as well as space-optimized pressure vessels.
The decades of experience in the development and production of special products as well as the high level of technical competence is in demand in many industries: customized tanks for agricultural vehicles are produced just as much as components for construction machinery or fire engines. Cold storage tanks for truck manufacturers are just as much a part of the portfolio as water tanks for vehicles used for road or sewer cleaning. Even large orders such as the production of thousands of window systems or storage boxes and hydraulic tanks are no problem and are delivered quickly. Behind all these customized special products is intensive development work, which is carried out in close cooperation with the central R&D department at SAG’s headquarter in Lend/Austria. Thus, the entire cycle from the first draft to series production is covered as a one-stop shop.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
SAG is a provider of the entire value-added chain of customized and weight-optimized components and brings them to series production readiness using the most modern casting, joining, bonding, welding and bending techniques.

These include, for example, specifically shaped fuel tanks with multiple filler necks and sensors, special designs such as radio-permeable railway window systems for train producers, special containers up to 4,500 liter volume or large-capacity containers for waste disposal companies.
A specialty in the production process at SAG Slovakia is the sophisticated manual welding technology, which has a long tradition here. SAG Slovakia has a highly specialized team of experts who know how to weld aluminum with the utmost precision, making it possible to produce complex lightweight structures that are subject to the highest stresses, also with press bending, laser cutting and many other manufacturing skills. By using modern CAD and simulation programs SAG Slovakia always takes special, customer-specific product requirements into account, like special loads, temperatures, etc.. The laser cutting capabilities range from a thickness of 0.8 mm to 10mm, and plasma cutting from 10 mm to 30 mm metal sheets. The company offers bending capabilities with various instruments, bonding with special glue and different surface treatments.
A pioneering spirit, the highest product quality and the best customer service combined with a high degree of flexibility make it possible to meet even the most unusual customer requirements. There is no such thing as can’t. 100% delivery reliability and punctuality, even in times of difficult logistics conditions, are a matter of course. So are high environmental standards and the highest quality levels according to international ISO standards.
E.E: What’s the news about new products/services?
Since 2021 Sag Slovakia is located in a facility in Sihot near Trencin with about 12,000 m2 space. Recently a team of 110 employees generated a revenue of 16.5 Mio EUR.
Continuing investments in technology allow to be ahead in the market, and make it possible to achieve highest quality and sustainability standards. So recently SAG Slovakia was awarded with the EcoVadis silver medal. The medal is been given to companies that meet certain licensing and accreditation criteria in the categories of environment, ethics, labor & human rights and sustainable procurement. With the silver medal SAG Slovakia is among the top 25% of the evaluated companies.
