Serrat Mulchers is a Spanish company dedicated to the manufacturing of forest and agricultural grinding machines, biomass, industrial gardening and public works mulchers. The head office and production are located in the province of Huesca (200 km northwest of Barcelona). The production premises occupy more than 5000 m2. This is the latest production, equipped with the latest technology in this area and a strict quality control system. And all this serves to accurately fulfil the requested specifications of our customers.
SERRAT produces different kinds of mulchers, machines with new concept of work and with new rotors and systems completely different from the traditional machines. The company produces everything inside the factory and has developed mulchers for tractors from 30 to 500 HP.
The company exposes at the most import international fairs like EIMA, AGRITECHNICA, SIMA, FIMA, APF, etc. and sells all around the world.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Serrat Mulchers: We produce mulchers for orchards (for mulching grass and pruning remains), mulchers for public works for maintenance of public roads, mulchers for Biomass for producing woodchips and collect it from the field and utilize it directly into biomass boilers and forestry mulchers for land clearing. So, our main customers ae farmers, contractors, industrialized gardening companies and companies related with biomass.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
Serrat Mulchers: Recently we developed a new range of forestry tillers for working inside the ground. We have a unique machine that is able to work inside the ground for mulching roots, stones, etc… and the same time in surface for mulching trees, branches, etc… We developed a special gearbox where the user could change the rotor speed manually depending on the type of work. This is a unique machine in the market
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
Serrat Mulchers: We have agricultural mulchers for orchards and open field, forestry mulchers and forestry tillers, hydraulic mulchers for excavators and skid loaders, green spaces mulchers and biomass mulchers.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
Serrat Mulchers: So far, the market is good, we had some trouble in south Europe because of drought but in general no problem.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
Serrat Mulchers: We have always more request for mulching the remains from the pruning in orchards and vineyards because most of local governments forbidden to burn that remains.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
Serrat Mulchers: Our most innovative products are the machines connected to biomass sector. We are developing a range of machines that will be useful in orchards in winter time for resolving problems with frost. We are working a swell with with big biomass mulchers for very big tractors for collecting the trees and transform them in woodchips.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?
Serrat Mulchers: This is so far is very good and the estimate for our company is to reach some more international markets, at the moment we are focused to enter in new markets like Asia.
