We are Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for car brands as Porsche, McLaren, MAN; but also active as Original Equipment Spare (OES) parts manufacturer (e.g. Porsche Classic, Bosch) and in the aftermarket. The inhouse development (R&D, testing) and own manufacturing in Suceava (Romania) make the company a trusted partner within the global automotive industry for private and light commercial vehicles.

E.E: What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
For the Aftermarket, Sidem is a manufacturer and goes to market through specialised distributors in 92 countries worldwide.
Within OEM Sidem is ‘Tier2’ supplier: we supply our manufactured parts to other partners who assemble and supply to new build cars.
Within OES, we supply directly to the car brands (e.g. Porsche Classic) or through their specialised network (e.g. Bosch).
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
There is a huge swift towards (Battery) Electrical Vehicles. For steering and suspension parts this is not a threat, but requires engineered solutions to withstand the higher weight of the cars (due to the heavy battery pack) and the higher torque to ensure maximum strength and safety.

Another trend is the rise of Chinese Electrical Vehicle brands (e.g. BYD). Here again, no threat for Sidem as also those brands are monitored.
