SPEEDRILL, TOOL AND ACCESSORY MANUFACTURER SINCE 1946

Speedrill is a tool manufacturer and distributor established in 1946. Since then, they have managed to offer a wide range of tools, accessories and devices under technical request for customers. Currently the company is supplying to assembly lines mostly in the Automotive industry. Speedrill is aiming at supplying Naval, Aerospace and general industries among others. 

Interview with Sara Úbeda, CEO & Brand Manager at Speedrill.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Sara Úbeda: As stated before, we count with a variety of products such as tools, sockets, bits adaptors, extensions, etc. Additionally, we offer to our clients consulting and audit services. This is particularly relevant when it comes to establish safety procedures. We believe this represents an extra value to our firm.

E.E: What’s the news about new products?

S.Ú: Safety has become a key feature in assembly lines. This is why, we are in a process of constant innovation. We are determined to develop solutions to ensure more effective safety standards. An example of this can be found in our range of isolated (IEC 60900) products.

Furthermore, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re starting production right here in Spain. We’re fully committed to supporting locally-made products and championing the growth of Spanish industry, known for its excellence. Our aim is not only to create high-quality jobs but also to foster the advancement of the Spanish manufacturing sector. We’re passionate about our mission and are eager to share our story.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

S.Ú: We are primarily focused in manufacturing and supplying tools, sockets, bits, adaptors, extensions, bit holders, special accessories… we offer consulting and audit services and we also distribute the finest machinery solutions. We expect to consolidate our brand in central and eastern Europe as we know this region is highly industrialized. To us it is a blue ocean to sail in.

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

S.Ú: Our main markets are Automotive, Aerospace, Railway and General Industry. We are interested in supplying shipyards and related businesses. Pretty much, any that has an assembly line.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

S.Ú: The Automotive business is clearly shifting towards electric mobility. This obviously represent an exciting challenge to us in terms of safety but also technically. However, we are confident about our adaptability as we are highly specialized in manufacturing tools for this particular sector, such as free spinning protected items and isolated accessories for high voltages, etc.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

S.Ú: The idea of innovation at the moment means creating industrial solutions that alignwith emerging trends, notably the transition towards electrification. This involves the strategic development of technologies and practices to support the integration of electric systems within various industries, particularly the automotive sector but not only.

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2024?

S.Ú: We expect to consolidate our bid for local production as well as enhancing our mkt and comms. From the industrial perfective we aim at continuing doing as well as we did so far and expand our markets. Be sure we will let you know about our latest developments.
