STRONG GROWTH EVEN IN TIMES OF CRISIS

Arrk Engineering expands its electronics & software division at Cluj-Napoca site

Already since 2007, the internationally active automotive supplier ARRK Engineering is maintaining a wholly owned subsidiary with currently 270 employees at the Cluj-Napoca location. The company’s strategy implies to strongly expand the Electronics & Software division during the coming months. The fast reaction to the changed working conditions, a well-organized crisis management and the introduction of a strict hygiene and security concept at the site are allowing the engineering supplier to take concrete steps for the timely growth in Cluj even during the pandemic alert in Romania.

Already since 2007, the internationally active automotive supplier ARRK Engineering has maintained a wholly owned subsidiary with currently 270 employees at the Cluj-Napoca location.

“We still have a good order situation, especially in the area of electronics and software. Although our customers are putting individual projects to the test due to the Corona crisis, most of them still continue to invest especially in innovation topics. We have therefore decided not to abandon our growth plans in order to be able to support our customers in this challenging time in the best possible way. As a first step, it is planned to double the existing Electronics & Software team in Cluj to more than 25 employees during the next months. Further steps will follow. We want to be prepared when our customers’ systems are running again at a maximum level,” explains Florian Potschka, Division Manager Electronics & Software at ARRK Engineering.  The greatest growth will take place in the competence areas of software development, autonomous driving, displays and cameras. In the future, more extensive subtasks of our existing projects will be handled by the employees in Cluj and new projects will be implemented in close cooperation from the very beginning. The newly created positions will be filled with experienced developers and engineers as well as  graduates and young professionals, who will be introduced to their new activities with the help of the in-house training academy and in practical projects.

It is planned to double the existing Electronics & Software team in Cluj to more than 25 employees in the next months

In the past months, a taskforce at ARRK has been working on the preparations for a fast and successful team building. New office spaces had to be planned and equipped, training and language courses organized, familiarization plans developed and recruiting prepared. The first job advertisements were already placed in August. ARRK is now hoping for a lively influx of test and project engineers, software developers, but also team and project leaders who, in addition to a background in electrical engineering or computer science, ideally also have initial experience with automotive electronics, control units or embedded systems.

“We are very pleased that by expanding our development location in Cluj and intensifying the cooperation with our colleagues on site, we are able to make our projects even more international and to further improve the intercultural diversity of our company,” Potschka concluded.
