‘THE SUPPLY CHAIN EXPO & TECHNICAL PROGRAMME FOR THE GLOBAL MAGNETICS INDUSTRY’. 100 + EXHIBITORS, 2 X WORLD CLASS TECHNICAL CONFERENCES, 50 + INDUSTRY LEADING SPEAKERS

The Pasadena Convention Center, California – May 22-23 2024

The Magnetics Show is a commercial exhibition and technical conference combined. Dedicated to domestic supply chains for magnetic materials, products, systems and highlighting key areas of research into next generation magnetic materials and their applications. Bringing forth current issues such as rare earths extraction, processing, sustainability and carbon neutrality, delegates benefit from finding all of their magnetic solutions in one place.

“The Magnetics Show is the most powerful event of the year for anyone involved in the magnetic materials market. This is why you can count on the Critical Minerals Institute to be there” (Tracy Weslosky). Victorino Franco, University of Seville, emphasises how the event is “not a conventional research conference… in addition to being an industrial fair, I see it as the ideal venue where companies can present their research needs to academic researchers to establish fruitful links.”

Alexander Oliver, Select Global Events’ COO, states “since the magnet is an essential product for application, I believe it holds huge significance within the carbon neutrality initiative and current modern technological advances. During my trip to Pasadena towards the end of 2022, I was struck by the city itself and all it has to offer. We will be hosting the entire Pasadena Convention Center and with The Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the California Institute of Technology nearby, I knew it was the perfect place.” Our esteemed Advisory Board members bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise. John Ormerod, JOC LLC & Bunting – DuBois, explained “at long last we are witnessing an awakening to the critically important role permanent magnets play in society and their importance in the increased electrification and energy efficient future. This is coupled with the realization that the most important magnetic materials are dependent on a fragile and unpredictable supply chain.”

Matthew Swallow, UK Magnetics Society & Bunting Magnetics Europe has high hopes for the show and believes that “a show of this nature will showcase the great capabilities already in the magnet supply chain but will also highlight the areas missing and provide a platform for discussing how to fill those gaps.” The technical thought leadership conference sessions will feature industrial and academic contributions. Focusing on topics such as materials development, characterization, supply chain risks and application opportunities. The latest innovations, trends and emerging markets of magnetic materials will be explored.

Pasadena, is a melting pot of industries, known for being the epicenter for discovery and city of science. Located only 10 miles from Los Angeles, with over 300 tech companies and over 650 restaurants, you can combine business with pleasure in this wonderfully eclectic city. Additional prosperous industries include petrochemical value chain, logistics/ distribution and professional services. We are so excited to be hosting in such an incredible venue and city, see you there!
