Interview with Vidar Grønås, Chief Sales Officer at Virinco AS.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Vidar Grønås: We make a SaaS software, WATS, that monitors data from test systems when you build electronics. Users can quickly get an overview of top failures and biggest quality concerns and identify Root Cause of failures.
E.E: What’s the news about new products/services?
V.G: Our latest release 24.1 has a number of new big features. There is a new starting page, called a Heatmap that gives you an easy way to prioritize when doing Root Cause Analysis. You will get an overview of yield, top failures, repairs, number of retests in one simple view.
In addition, we have released our first version of our AI Project, WATS Alvea. WATS Alvea will identify areas where you should investigate further through a Suggestion feature.
E.E: What are the ranges of products/services?
V.G: WATS is our only product and it helps for Root Cause Analysis and control of manufacturing processes. We can for instance distribute SW, keep track of MAC addresses, keep track of assets being used, there is also a repair module where you can record repairs.
E.E: What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
V.G: We are active in any segment that builds electronics like:
- Consumer electronics;
- Industrial electronics;
- Automotive;
- Defense;
- Aerospace;
- Medical and more.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
V.G: We are the innovator in our market segment and for us there are a lot of opportunities.
E.E: What are the most innovative products/services marketed?
V.G: Heatmap and WATS Alvea.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the beginning of 2024?
V.G: We continue our strong growth and we see 50% growth for Q1.
