NEXT EDITION OF IFMAC NOT UNTIL OCTOBER 2021

The next edition of IFMAC, one of the most important trade fairs for woodworking machinery in Southeast Asia, will be held in Jakarta from October 12 to 15, 2021. IFMAC, which was planned for this year in September, had initially been postponed to October 2020. However, due to the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic, this date cannot be realized. For this reason, the Indonesian trade fair company Wakeni (PT. Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur) as organizer and Deutsche Messe AG from Hanover as IFMAC partner are now concentrating all their efforts on next year’s event.

“In view of the continuing uncertainty about the lifting of travel restrictions by the Indonesian government due to the COVID-19 situation, we unfortunately have to come to this difficult but necessary decision. IFMAC & WOODMAC is an international exhibition with large participation of foreign companies and attracts visitors from all over South East Asia. All efforts will now focus on bringing the industry’s players together for a strong exhibition in 2021 to support the recovery of the Indonesian furniture industry,” said Rini Sumardi, Director of Wakeni.

The health and safety as well as reliable travel options for all exhibitors and visitors are the most important prerequisites for a successful IFMAC. The extended preparation period until October 2021 enables Wakeni to offer each exhibiting company optimal logistical and marketing support. Trade visitors and buyers can look forward to a well-organized, comprehensive trading and presentation platform to make direct contact with potential business partners again.
