E.E: What’s the news about new products?

ASUS IoT: 2023 has been a rich year for ASUS IoT so far, marked by new projects. The company is positioned as the main actor for new hardware launches, big announcements in the market for the NUC business (a small form-factor computer that they have inherited from Intel) and strong partnerships.

In August 2023, the Tinker Board 3N series has been announced. This versatile Arm®-based single-board computer (SBC) empowers easy system integration, broad adaptability and superb expandability — elevating it to the perfect choice for the emerging Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) era.

On July 2023, Intel and ASUS announced that they had agreed for ASUS to manufacture, sell, and support NUC systems. ASUS will take over the successful NUC business, catering for various industries that have come to appreciate the practicality and ease-of-use of these devices. Apart from giving existing SKUs continuity, ASUS will create new NUC SKUs.

To give some examples of how product design and application are becoming more and more closely integrated, we see that retail customers, for instance need light weighted, mobility with efficient power consumption; industrial market like factories need powerful ruggedized edge system, both with connectivity for 5G throughput. No matter what the customer requirements are, ASUS IoT are committed to perfecting the building blocks suitable for each application, and developing customer-oriented middleware, allowing customers to connect ASUS IoT products through API tool with easy adaptation, and quickly respond to the diversified needs from customers in industrial applications.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

ASUS IoT: ASUS has recognized the significance of the Edge AI system as a major trend in the market. In order to meet the demands of this emerging industry, ASUS IoT has launched the PE6000G, which a high-compute edge-AI system, with expandability to accommodate multiple GPUs. This system is designed to be compact while providing high computing power. It focuses on optimizing performance and thermal management, making it an essential solution for the industry’s evolving needs. The PE6000G supports up to 450W GPU cards and Intel 13th/12th Gen Core CPUs, making it ideal for high-throughput AI inferencing in harsh environments. The system integrates robust mechanical, thermal, and power designs, combining all these factors to deliver exceptional GPU power.

This cutting-edge solution is particularly well-suited for autonomous vehicles, catering to their specific requirements. 

Another product to highlight is the PE3000G, which is a compact-size tower embedded with AI acceleration. ASUS IoT was the first to feature Intel’s Arc GPU in the market, demonstrating its close collaboration with Intel. The device can also house Nvidia Quadro MXM GPU cards.

Additionally, all new edge AI GPU computers from ASUS IoT support comprehensive wireless connectivity, including 5G NR and WiFi6. They have been engineered with a brand-new power-delivery design that accommodates a wide range of DC inputs, ranging from 8 to 48V. Moreover, these computers are equipped with built-in ignition control, enabling them to meet the specific requirements of in-vehicle usage.

ASUS IoT: The market is slowly recovering from the supply issues and investment restrains resulting from the international health and economic crises. However, ASUS IoT is optimistic about the rest of 2023 and beyond, with the addition of the NUC product line to its portfolio, as well as the continuous collaborations with key players in different industries. Also, 2023 is recognized by most as the year in which AI boomed. For ASUS IoT, this is great news, as we see a noticeable acceleration in the adoption of this technology.
