Founded in 2016, Ecolibrì is a company specialized in renewable energy, with a focus on wind & solar ones. It was established upon a five-year project conducted by A.C.E. srl – leader in the production of electrical wiring for more than 50 years -.and initially part of its brand. It then became an independent company which is sharing the same ownership.
The headquarter of the company is in Italy (Agrate Brianza) with a branch office in Moldova. Representation offices are present in the United Arab Emirates and in Mozambique.
The Africa continent and UAE are currently the 2 main markets of reference with CEE equally growing as new prospect.
Interview with Donatella Scarpa, CEO of Ecolibrì srl.
Easy Engineering: What’s the news about new products?
Donatella Scarpa: Over the last 24 months, Ecolibrì has released important new products: our 10kW wind turbine – vertical axis – which represents the DNA of the company and “Ecocharge “which is a complete range of electric car charging stations.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
D.S: Alongside with the above-mentioned products, we are proud to be the European distributors of an innovative Glamping product which we have called “Ecosphera”. This is a geodesic sphere which can be equipped with Ecolibrì product solutions to create an independent, custom-made, on-grid/off-grid solution, ideal for private and public use.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
D.S: On top of our wind turbines, “Ecocharge” and “Ecosphera”, Ecolibrì equally markets a wide range of products related to renewable energy such as solar air conditioning systems (on-grid/off grid), customized photovoltaic systems, mono or multi splits; thermodynamic systems for water heating; solar pumps for agriculture; solar streets and outdoor lights of different
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
D.S: The current phase of the market in which we operate is without a doubt under constantly increasing expansion due to several factors of common general knowledge (climate change, global warming, cost of energy, the need for new energy sources …).
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
D.S: Each market has different requirements: both photovoltaic systems and electric car charging stations are very popular everywhere, also due to their costs which are surely more affordable than more complex renewable energy solutions.
The interest of our micro wind turbines (ranging from 3.5kW to 20Kw) is attractive for factories that want to maximize the production of renewable energies, combining in certain cases wind and solar energies with a specific battery system. This is particularly important for certain African countries.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2023?
D.S: The year is now coming to its end but 2024 sounds like a very promising year with interest projects in our markets of reference.
