EmiControls offers custom-made solutions for fighting fires, dust and odors – with the help of water mist. Their in-depth know-how in the fields of mechanical engineering—and in the field of water atomization in particular—enabled them to achieve unprecedented results across a wide variety of areas.
Safety when firefighting can be greatly increased thanks to water mist’s ability to deprive fires of energy and to substantially increase the cooling effect. When used for dust control, the fine drops of water immediately attach to the dust particles and bring them to the ground – helping to keep the air free from pollution. EmiControls odor control solutions are already being successfully used in composting and recycling plants – creating a more pleasant environment for employees.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
EmiControls: Our main areas of activity is providing solutions for firefighting and dust control – for mobile or as well stationary application.
E.E: What’s the news for 2020 about new products?
EmiControls: We are currently working on a lot of things. Especially since the outbreak of the Coronavirus Pandemic, we have been working on various solutions and services for disinfection. As we realized that our turbines are very well suited to distributed disinfectant too.
The latest product in the EmiControls range is the “disinfection tunnel”. The tunnel is a kind of open-air shower that allows people (but also goods and objects) to disinfect themselves from head to toe. With the help of nozzles, the disinfectant is atomized to a fine water mist, which is applied to all surfaces such as clothes, shoes, hands, bags, etc.
For disinfection, a new and very innovative agent is used, which removes viruses, bacteria and fungi quickly and easily, and is absolutely harmless to people and the environment.
E.E: What are the ranges of traded products?
EmiControls: At what stage is the market where you are currently active? What can you tell us about market trends?
We are active in a lot of different markets. When we look at the dust control market, we see a huge potential. It grows every year rapidly and good solutions for fighting dust is required all over the world.
In the firefighting section we are positioned as well in quite a new area, as we have combined the force of the turbine with water mist. It is no secret that water mist is an efficient extinguishing agent. However, until now the distribution of the mist over more significant distances has been a challenge. Thanx to the turbine we are able to distribute the mist to a distance of over 75 meters.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
EmiControls: For the Fire section definitely the firefighting robot. It is made up of a firefighting turbine mounted on a caterpillar vehicle. The firefighting robot can be operated by remote control, is very agile and can be used in many ways.
In the Dust section it is our V22Orca. The V22Orca is a dust control machine, which has been specially developed for cold countries. When dust can no longer be controlled with water mist due to the icy temperatures, the V22Orca immediately produces snow – an absolute market innovation. Therefore the V22Orca guarantees efficient dust control throughout the year. In principle, it is possible to call this hybrid solution an extreme machine, which in summer operates without problems up to temperatures of +40° using water mist, and in winter it efficiently controls dust with snow down to -25°
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2020?
EmiControls: It is hard to tell since the outbreak of the Coronavirus. But all our products are made to help people and business and to protect them from emissions, fires and even viruses.
