ARNLEA SYSTEMS, REVOLUTIONIZE YOUR FIELD SERVICE MANAGEMENT

Arnlea Systems, headquartered in Aberdeen, Scotland, has been a pioneering force in industrial mobile software solutions for global energy operators for the past 30 years. Last year Arnlea Systems launched their flagship product, Nexar, a highly configurable, cloud-based industrial mobile software for field service management. Nexar is renowned as the global market leader for hazardous area equipment (HAE) inspection and maintenance, and helps organisations standardise processes throughout the equipment and material life cycle. Arnlea Systems and Nexar have become synonymous with innovation and reliability in the energy sector.

Interview with Claire Murray, Head of Business Development at Arnlea Systems.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Claire Murray: Arnlea Systems focuses primarily on developing and implementing Nexar to standardise processes across the equipment and material life cycle for energy operators. Their Nexar software covers a broad spectrum, ranging from EX equipment inspection including compliance with ATEX and CompEX standards, to adherence to PUWER and LOLER regulations.

E.E: What’s the news about new products/services?

C.M: Arnlea Systems is proud to announce the latest enhancements to Nexar as they shift to a cloud-based SaaS (Software as a service) business model.

Switching to a cloud-based model for Nexar allows users to access the software over the internet, rather than relying on physical hardware or on-premises infrastructure. Users can access their data from anywhere with an internet connection, using any device (Android, iOS or Windows) via the Nexar app.

There are many benefits to using cloud-based field management software, including:

  • Accessibility and Mobility: With cloud-based computing, inspectors can access Nexar’s powerful features and data from anywhere, at any time, using their mobile devices. This means no more reliance on office-based systems or paperwork—technicians can stay connected and productive in the field, leading to faster response times and improved customer satisfaction.
  • Cost-Efficiency: By eliminating the need for on-premises hardware and maintenance costs, cloud-based computing can significantly reduce IT expenses for businesses.
  • Security and Reliability: Arnlea Systems, global leaders in intelligent mobile applications, prioritise security and reliability in all aspects of their solutions. With Nexar, data is securely stored in the cloud, protected by robust encryption and security measures that comply with ISO27001 standards. This ensures peace of mind for companies and their customers.
  • Innovation and Competitive Advantage: By harnessing the power of cloud-based computing, businesses can stay ahead of the curve and innovate faster. Nexar’s continuous updates, improvements and enhancements ensure that companies always have access to the latest features and technologies, giving them a competitive edge in field service management.

E.E: What are the ranges of products/services?

C.M: While Nexar is the global leader for hazardous area equipment (HAE) inspection and maintenance, it also meets challenges across all other equipment inspection types, including but not limited to:

  • Flexible hoses (Energy Institute guidelines)
  • Small bore tubing (Energy Institute guidelines)
  • LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation)
  • PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations)
  • LOLER (Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations)

Nexar delivers 3 times more inspection and maintenance data in half the time and mitigates inspector risk by using industrial mobile and automatic data capture technologies (like RFID tags, QR codes and online/offline capability) and adhering to industry standards and guidelines.

E.E: What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

C.M: The market for industrial mobile software in the energy sector is dynamic and evolving rapidly. With increasing regulatory scrutiny, heightened safety standards, and the growing emphasis on operational efficiency, there is a significant demand for innovative solutions like Nexar that can help energy operators stay ahead of the curve.

Unlike pen and paper and other software that reduce data capture accuracy and slow the process down, Nexar enables remote workers to capture 150% more data 50% faster and more accurately whilst conforming to all safety standards enabling management to make quicker, safer, more informed decisions.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

C.M: One notable trend in the market is the shift towards cloud-based solutions and the integration of IoT (Internet of Things) technology to enable real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance. Arnlea Systems is at the forefront of these developments, leveraging their expertise to deliver cutting-edge solutions that empower energy operators to optimise their operations and stay ahead of regulatory requirements.

E.E: What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

C.M: Nexar stands out as one of the most innovative products in the market, offering unmatched flexibility, scalability, and reliability in field service management. With its comprehensive features and seamless integration capabilities, Nexar empowers energy operators to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and ensure compliance across all equipment inspection types.

E.E: What estimations do you have for the beginning of 2024?

C.M: At the beginning of 2024, Arnlea Systems anticipates continued growth and expansion as they celebrate their 30th anniversary. With Nexar leading the charge, they are poised to expand their reach and solidify their position as the go-to solution provider for energy operators worldwide. Arnlea Systems remain committed to driving innovation, delivering value to their clients, and shaping the future of industrial mobile software in the energy sector.
