From 4th to 5th December 2018, Deutsche Messe AG will host the LIGNA Conference in the forefront of the China Shunde International Woodworking Machinery Fair (Lunjiao) in Foshan, the neighbouring city of Guangzhou.

Digitization, automation, IoT platforms and individual customer requirements are the challenges facing the woodworking industry and processing industry. Top-class international and Chinese speakers such as Liu Yue Qiu, General Manager of Sandar CNC Machinery, John Wang, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, SFY Group or Professor Christian Körtum from the Technical University of Rosenheim provide a global view of industrial applications and solutions for the furniture and wood industries.

The market leaders Biesse, Durst Phototechnik, HOMAG Group, Leuco Ledermann, SCM Group, Siempelkamp, Wemhöner Surface Technologies, Michael Weinig and the Technical University of Applied Sciences Rosenheim, presenting their expertise in a presentation area, support the conference. Visions and experiences with digitization, implementation in respective production processes and their effects on the various steps in development, production and sales will be presented. A panel discussion and the gala dinner at the end of the first conference day, will give plenty of room for individual questions and networking.

With the LIGNA Conference in China, the organizers are continuing their conference series, which had its premiere in Hanover in May 2016. The main theme of the LIGNA Conference in China is “Integrated Woodworking – Customized Solutions” and thus takes up one of the focus topics of the upcoming LIGNA, which will take place from 27th to 31th May 2019 in Hanover.

Following the conference, the China Shunde International Woodworking Machinery Fair will take place from 6th to 9th December 2018 in the Exhibitionhall LunJiao in Foshan. The exhibition will showcase woodworking applications and solutions and is an ideal complement to the conference program. It is the traditional platform used by importers of machine technology to make direct contact with the Chinese furniture industry. On the morning of 6th December, a shuttle service will be organised to visit the China Shunde International Woodworking Machinery Fair, which will open on that day.
