Interview with Killian Dagneaux, e-Mobility Analyst at ATEQ.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Killian Dagneaux: The main areas of operation here at ATEQ are Automotive, Battery, E-Mobility, and Medical. 

E.E: What’s the news about new products?

K.D: ATEQ is very excited to announce its revolutionary leak tester FP726-LV, one of the most advanced and accurate leak testers in the E-mobility sector.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

K.D: The ranges or applications of our products are limitless. Because we pride ourselves on meeting the needs of our customers and being their quality providers for all their plant, assembly, production, and manufacturing testing needs, we naturally host a variety of instruments developed with our customers in mind. We supply pressure decay (differential & standard), compact, electrical, flow testers, multichannel pressure decay testers, tracer gas, battery, and electric vehicle testers. With applications that range from testing automotive parts, waterproof electronics, packaging, large volume part testing, single part testing, HVAC/ airbags, electric vehicle production lines, voltage intensity, the temperature of batteries and so much more. 

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

K.D: We are in the growth stage of the market as the EV market continues to grow so the importance of accurate and reliable leak testing on the electric production lines. Here at ATEQ, we are excited to play a leader role in supplying solutions to those growing needs with innovative, reliable, and accurate instruments. 

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends? 

K.D: The biggest trend in the market currently is E-Mobility. Several components within the production of E-Vehicles need to be tested to ensure the safety and quality of the products.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed? 

K.D: The FP726-LV is the most advanced, accurate, and innovative leak tester dedicated to EV/HEV R&D and expertise laboratories. It is a self-generating vacuum and pressure-autonomous leak tester that has the capability to detect a leak of 10cc/min on 300 liters of volume in less than 10 minutes. Its test methods and results are traceable and meet industry standards and its interface, 7-inch color touchscreen, exportable service records, and icon-driven menu for easy navigation also make it extremely user-friendly. 

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023? 

K.D: As electric vehicles will account for more than 50% of all vehicles in the US by 2030, we are prepared to face the growing demand with the most innovative technologies in term of quality testing.
